Santa Rosa State ParkOff I-40 eight miles north of Santa Rosa. Paved sites, pull-throughs and back-ins. Spent one night but was impressed by the view, a lake, and how quiet it was. It is about halfway between Albuquerque, NM and the OK border. Watch for signs on highway. A sign said “Welcome Free Camping.” San Jon is a small agricultural community curled up against the vast open spaces of eastern New Mexico.
